Vostro 1700 AC Adapter

I need a power cord for my dell w1700....When I went on ebay I found it but then I found a dell power cord that is cheaper except it does not say it is for a w1700. It says it is for a vostro 1700....When I asked the suppliers if it was compatible, some of them said it was, and some of them said it wasn't, and some of them just didn't know. I don't know who to believe, the ones who say it is could just be trying to make a buck and could be wrong, the ones who say it isn't, could be wrong and just don't want to take the risk of paying for shipping for a product that might be sent back to them.... will this product be compatible with my W1700 or not? The Vostro laptop adapter has an output of 19.5 VOLTS. It will fry your W1700 TV that only needs a 16VDC power adapter. Better get the right adapter.
